Shrimp Plumping

Have you ever eaten shrimp and felt bloated?  Have you ever eaten shrimp that was "rubbery" ?  Have you ever eaten shrimp that was slightly over-cooked and was "mushy"?

You have had shrimp that was PLUMPED.  The vast majority of shrimp from Asia is plumped. 

What is plumping shrimp?  It is an injected material to cause the shrimp to weigh more, thus increasing profits. It also makes the shrimp look larger and a fuller bodied product which is pleasing to most as we are visual buyers.
